With the cover design for the Summer issue on 'Diversification'. I wanted to give the idea of money splitting and multiplying, which essentially is what diversification is all about. Once again the challenge of creating visual concepts of intangible ideas. Never easy, but we always seemed to get there in the end.
With this issue I enjoyed being involved with the photoshoot for Bernice Mene, Sir Ralph Norris and Ron Sang. We used photographer Emma Bass. The other 3 people had to supply their photo due to other commitments and not being able to attend a photoshoot organised by us. In order for me to tie in all the different styles of photos and to add some zest to the page, I used patterns behind each person that complimented what they were wearing or what their profession represented in an artistic kind of way. (And obviously since doing this, John Key is no longer Prime Minister.)
